"Rhythm is what connects the dancers feet to the earth. It is what makes your hips move with precise articulation! It is the basic foundation of all music. Rhythm is the dancer's road map. It gives the dance direction, dynamics and form.
"This workshop will focus on the Rhythms used in Middle Eastern Dance. Beginning with a 30-minute warm-up, the workshop will continue with technique across the floor. Working with a live drummer we will explore Rhythmic movements including hip work, accents and exciting combinations that will enhance your vocabulary of movement. A Live Drum solo will be taught in the second part of the workshop. "
