A sick person was brought by friends to a zar house for the illness-causing evil to be exorcised. Though the zar ceremony is still practiced in the Near East today, few of these houses remain. Like many other ancient ceremonies, the zar has evolved into a form of popular entertainment. Experience the exciting making of a dance from the warm ups to the final theatrical event.
