Lalita wants people to know about a performance opportunity at her studio. She writes, "Creative Vibrations, a newly opened cultural arts studio in Astoria, Queens, will hold regular Friday night Dance Performance events to promote appreciation for the art of dance (particularly middle-eastern dance) among the public and also to offer a supportive environment for talented dancers to present their work on stage in an artistic (non-food establishment) environment.
"The studio is inviting talented dance artists to perform at our Friday night dance events.
"For information e-mail creativevibrationsstudio@gmail.com or call (347) 257-7768."

Linda up in Westchester tuned us in to Radio Bastet, the brainchild of Oregon dancer Marisa. Marisa is generously taking cuts from her favorite vintage vinyl Belly Dance albums and making them available to all of us in streaming RealAudio format. This is the real great stuff. Visit the Do Good Page and click to give food, cash, etc. I'm told that groups can lose their sponsors if they are under-clicked. Please pay special attention to theanimalrescuesite.com which is said to be in immediate peril of cancellation. Sponsors want clicks because clicking means you're seeing their ads and maybe even feeling warm and fuzzy about them. Look, just bookmark or favorite-ize the page and click something every day.
