Events

Events eligible for posting on the BDNY Events Page include concerts, parties, show cases, workshops, seminars, festivals, live music performances, etc. I'm not going to post classes except when they are something truly time-limited and novel. Events must be local--New York City, Long Island, New York State as far north as Albany, and very nearby New Jersey. And that is ALL.

Feel free to send flyers, e-postcards, and other attachments for posting. I'll handle them as before--with links from the Events Page to the flyer, etc.

Information needed for postings:
Date including day of the week--i.e. November 1 (Sunday)
Presenter
Type of Event (i.e. concert, seminar, workshop, performance, etc.)
Name of Event
Location of Event
Time Event Starts (and time it finishes, if known)
Cost to Attend Event
Contact Information for Tickets, if any, and for more details.

While you don't have to use the above as a form, do make sure you provide all the listed information. And, as ever, please don't load notices up with adjectives and adverbs--let your event speak for itself. Save the sales pitch for your flyer or newsletter.

IMPORTANT: SEND EVENT NOTICES & FLYERS, ETC. TO <bdny.events@gmail.com>. That's the ONLY address I'm using for the page.

News

To post an item on the News Page on BellyDanceNY.com simply send me an e-mail at <bdny.events@gmail.com> with "NEWS ITEM" in the subject line. I'll need to know who is the source and/or contact person and the contact e-mail. And, of course, I'll need the item itself.

The News Page is open for notices about auditions, dance job offers/help wanteds, companion animal adoption and help causes, special projects, matters of community interest (like the item already on the page about Radio Bastet), occasional sublets wanted and offered, and other matters of general interest that are time-limited.

Items stay posted until I'm asked by the poster to remove them or for as long as I think the items are timely.

News items that are accepted for posting are also headlined on the Table of Contents page.

A final note: I'll probably post your news item but remember, all postings are at my discretion.
